What is Adventure Racing?
A deep dive into the history of adventure racing and why it captivates so many endurance athletes.
Topo Adventure Sports was created to help promote and expand the adventure racing community in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and nearby states. Our main focus is adventure racing, but we’re happy to see involvement in any outdoor endurance-based activity including, mountain biking, orienteering, paddling (canoe, kayak, raft), rappelling, ascending, inline skating, and much more.
This is a series of no frills races with the goal of getting you out on the trails in the winter months. Each race location will have one loop (4 to 6 miles) and two (8 to 12 miles) course.
Three competitive races, three consecutive months. These races are designed to help you up your abilities by extending the distance of the race each month.
TOPO’s prized event. The East Fork Challenge embodies adventure racing through trekking, orienteering, biking, and paddling. This is the event to put your endurance to the test on either our 6 or 12 hour courses.
Brian has participated in triathlons since 2001, and started with adventure racing in 2007. Brian loves to be outside, and on any given weekend you can be sure he is training for something if he is not racing. He currently resides in Silverton Ohio, and is excited for 2013 and the expanded race schedule that Topo has brought to you. You can be sure that he will still be out there racing though!
